DESCRIPTION:Dear Member\,\n\n\n\nWe have all heard about the lack of younger workers entering into trades in the building industry. It is a big problem\, and the question is how are we going to be part of the solution?\n\n\n\nPlease join me at this informational meeting to learn about the HBA's plans to address this issue.\n\n \n\nWe will be discussing the formation of a standing committee within our Association. This Workforce Development Committee with bring together our existing programs:\n\n\n\n Annual Scholarship and Leadership Awards\n Tools For Teens\n Build Your Future Indiana\n\n\nAnd it will introduce some new opportunities for new programs within the area:\n\n\n\n Construction Trades Day\n Career Quest\n Internships\n NAHB Student Chapter\n\n\n\nThis committee will also represent our partnerships/relationships with our 3 High School building trades programs\, the South Bend/St. Joseph County internships and programs\, as well as the other initiatives that are coming together with other groups around the Michiana Area.\n\n \n\nThis is an information meeting\, and you will be under no obligation to join the committee\, however we will hope you will consider whether this might be a good fit for your time and talents.\n\n \n\nThank you\,\n\nBob
